Design and development of a modern backpack with built in cooling technology. The Coolbag has a battery operated refrigeration unit incorporated in the base, which at the touch of a button, instantly cools a closed system of water which circulates through a bladder on the pack panel. When worn by a user in extreme heat provides a cooling sensation against the users back. The custom designed battery pack can also charge phones and other electronic devices through a port on the shoulder strap. The EVA foam utilized in construction provides a durable, modern feel to the backpack as well as an element of protection for the internal electronic components.
